Abstract

Europe is the first region in the world to achieve urbanization. There was a long-term agricultural society in European history, it need to transform from the traditional agricultural society to modern one, to remold traditional countryside. So its experiences and lessons in rural urbanization, especially in local urbanization and small and medium-sized urbanization experience, have some certain enlightening role to similar country of national conditions, such as present China. This book consists of seven parts, including 22 chapters, and examines the process of rural urbanization in Europe from many dimensions, and analyses its reference significance to the new urbanization and rural revitalization strategy of our country.
