The book can be divided into three parts. The first section is the reviews, introductions and guides to general works of bibliographical writings on British economic and social history. The general works referred to reference books on core terms, chronology, linguistic history, and metrological history. The second section includes reviews, guides and handbooks on the thematic works of British economic and social history, which covered marriage, family and population, land properties；problems on agriculture, rural area peasants and the relations between cities and rural area, disease, medicine, and social assistance, and business and industry in the city, market and the state. the third section is the appendix，which includes not only reviews，guides and handbook, but also the databases. In this part, the author has checked Gale Scholar and other leading databases, on which he has given his ideas and suggests. In his view, three epoch databases (EEBO, ECCO and NCCO) and two subjective databases
